Andersonville Chamber of Commerce (ACC), in partnership with Dynamic Cooperative, will host “Re-imagining Health, Safety and Racial Justice in Andersonville”—a free, one-day collaborative learning environment to explore the meaning of community health and safety—on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at Chicago Waldorf School, 5200 N. Ashland Ave.
The symposium is designed to engage business owners, employees and community members in conversation and to reflect on anti-racism work and inclusion, with an emphasis on supporting participants to explore the meaning of community health and safety through trauma-informed approaches to racial justice.
The event is facilitated by The Care Plan, which specializes in employing trauma-informed care to every level of community wellness. Keynote speakers include Jacqueline Boyd and Raven Stubbs.
Lunch will be provided.
