On May 3, the Chicago Red Stars lost to the Houston Dash 2-0 in Challenge Cup play in Texas.
Chicago certainly had opportunities to score. For example, a pass found Jenna Bike open on the right side of Houston’s 18-yard box, but Dash goalie Jane Campbell deflected her shot.
Brenna Lovera and Julia Bianchi made their first NWSL starts for the Red Stars.
The Red Stars will next take on New Jersey/New York Gotham FC on Sunday, May 7, at 5 p.m. CT at SeatGeek Stadium.
