Marina Mabrey led the Sky in scoring with 22 points and three rebounds while Chennedy Carter scored 18 points and four assists in the first start of her Sky career. Angel Reese earned her sixth consecutive double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds to go along with five assists, while fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso recorded her first career double-double, with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Caitlin Clark led the Fever in scoring with 23 points and tied a season high in game with nine assists. Aliyah Boston (who, like Cardoso, is an alumna of the University of South Carolina) had a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds, along with four blocks.

According to Sports Illustrated and other media outlets, Reese fouled Clark in the third quarter as the latter went for a lay-up—and it was upgraded to a Flagrant 1 after an official review. Asked about the foul during the post-game press conference, Reese said, “I can’t control the refs. They affected the game obviously a lot today. I’m always going for the ball. Y’all are going to play that clip 20 times before [June 17].”

The Sky return home to Wintrust Arena to take on the Dallas Wings on Thursday, June 20. The Fever and Sky will meet again—this time on Sunday, June 23, in Chicago.
