Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese will represent the Sky in the 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game in Phoenix on July 20.
She will represent Team WNBA, who plays Team USA in the All-Star matchup.
Reese, the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, is the current league leader in total rebounds per game (11.4) and offensive rebounds per game (4.8). She also holds the league record for consecutive double-doubles in a single season, an active streak spanning 10 games.
On Team WNBA, Reese will play alongside the Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell; the Seattle Storm’s Nneka Ogwumike; the Dallas Wings’ Arike Ogunbowale; and the New York Liberty’s Jonquel Jones, among others. Some of the players on Team USA will include the Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young; the Phoenix Mercury’s Brittney Griner and Diana Taurasi; and the New York Liberty’s Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu.
ABC will televise the 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game—already announced as a sellout at Footprint Center, home of the three-time WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury—at 7:30 p.m. CT. In addition to celebrating the send-off of WNBA players selected to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game will be the centerpiece of two full days packed with WNBA activities, including ESPN’s presentation of the STARRY® WNBA 3-Point Contest and the Kia WNBA Skills Challenge on Friday, July 19, at Footprint Center.
However, being on the team has not been Reese’s only recent honor, as the WNBA also named her Rookie of the Month for June.
During June, Reese averaged 14.5 points and 13.2 rebounds per game. She garnered double-digit rebounds in all 11 games in June—the second-most consecutive games with 10+ rebounds all time.
Reese is just the third rookie all time to average at least 13.0 points and 11.0 rebounds, joining Tina Charles (2010) and Yolanda Griffith (1999). She is the first Rookie of the Month for the Sky since Elena Delle Donne (four times in 2013), and second ever to earn the honor.
