The Chicago Hounds—a rugby team that counts famed openly gay chef Art Smith as an owner—is 8-7-1 after recently defeating the visiting Miami Sharks 38-26 at SeatGeek Stadium.

The Hounds were already in the playoffs, thanks to a 38-29 win over Anthem Rugby Carolina (Anthem RC).

In the more recent match, flyhalf Luke Carty led all scorers with 13 points via a try and four successful conversion attempts. Hooker Dylan Fawsitt added a brace while lock James Scott, wing Julian Dominguez and center Mark O’Keeffe also scored.

Now, the Hounds will take on the New Orleans-based NOLA Gold on Sunday, July 21, at 5:30 p.m. CT in an Eastern Conference semifinal. The match will take place at the New Orleans venue The Gold Mine, also known as the Shrine on Airline, and it will air on FS2.
