In a new clip released Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris joins RuPaul’s Drag Race to underscore the stakes of this election as Americans’ rights and freedoms are under assault. As Trump’s Project 2025 threatens LGBTQ+ rights, Vice President Harris warns of attacks to rights and freedoms and encourages Americans to register to vote.
Vice President Harris has been a champion for equality throughout her career. In 2004, she officiated same-sex marriages while serving as District Attorney. As Attorney General, she helped pave the way for marriage equality nationwide by declining to defend Prop. 8. She has led on fighting hate crimes and championing the Equality Act.
On Wednesday, more than 1,100 LGBTQ+ leaders endorsed Vice President Harris’ campaign.The clip will play in Friday’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 9 Grand Finale Variety Extravaganza: Part 2.
