The Chicago Stars FC (formerly the Chicago Red Stars) of the National Women’s Soccer League is looking into the possibility of moving home games to the temporary Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium in Evanston, according to Evanston Now.
The team currently plays its home games at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeport.
The exploration was revealed via a zoning analysis application that was recently submitted. Moving the club to Evanston would bring with it 16 home games and up to 11,500 attendees at the temporary lakefront field.
A spokesperson for the Stars confirmed that the club’s lease at SeatGeek is scheduled to end at the end of this year, and that the team is “considering a variety of stadium options for the 2026 season.”
