CHICAGO (May 21, 2025) – Chicago Stars FC will be hosting the club’s Pride Celebration match May 24 when the Chicago Stars take on the Kansas City Current at 6:30 p.m. CT. The Stars are inviting the entire city to kick off their Pride celebrations with the club at SeatGeek Stadium, where there will be multiple exciting and fun activations for fans of all ages to celebrate their Pride.

A special Pride Celebration ticket package is available for fans to purchase prior to the match that includes an exclusive Chicago Stars FC Pride-themed beach towel and a ticket to the May 24 match. The Stars’ Pride Celebration is easy to get to with Chicago Stars FC’s Jameson Pub to Pitch program. Fans can get roundtrip transportation to and from SeatGeek Stadium on a trolley bus by purchasing a ticket package with a reserved bus seat and match ticket or buying the bus add-on if they already have a match ticket. The buses stop at four partner bars: Fadó Irish Pub, Fatpour Tapworks McCormick, R Public House and Whiskey Girl Tavern.

The Pride Celebration begins when gates at SeatGeek Stadium open at 5:30 p.m. CT, where the first 1,000 Chicago Stars FC fans will receive Pride Celebration beanie patches as part of the club’s Beanie Patch Program. In addition to its usual fun, the Chicago Stars FC Fan Zone, presented by Jameson, will have music provided by DJ Ca$hera and a special ‘Show Your Pride’ station with customizable buttons, pride necklaces and colored temporary hair spray. A Pride expo will host representatives from various LGBTQIA+ organizations in Illinois, including the Brave Space Alliance, the Gerber/Hart Library and Archives, the PFLAG Council of Northern Illinois, and Youth Outlook.

As usual, fans can take part in life-size soccer darts and more in the Chicago Stars FC Fan Zone, presented by Jameson, and preview the match by playing EAFC on the stadium concourse. Kids can also look forward to bracelet making, coloring and more in the Cosmos Corner.

Prior to kickoff, the national anthem will be performed by the Artemis Singers, Chicago’s Lesbian Feminist Chorus. During the match, fans can join the in-stadium host, Genna Rose, in cheering on the Stars and look forward to in-match music provided by DJ Cabrera. Throughout the match, fans will have the chance to catch mini balls or t-shirts, as well as cheering on a contestant in the halftime crossbar challenge. The match will also see a halftime Pride Parade with representatives from the prematch Pride expo and other Chicago Stars FC community partners.
