In the July 14 conclusion of a two-game series against the Minnesota Lynx (19-4), one of the best teams in the WNBA, the Chicago Sky (7-14) lost 91-78 at Wintrust Arena.
Angel Reese led the Sky with 22 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, resulting in her 15th double-double of the season and the ninth consecutive time she’s accomplished such a feat. Rachel Banham scored 15 points, and had two rebounds and two assists.
The latest result followed the Sky defeating the Lynx 87-81, again inside Wintrust Arena, on July 12.
In the first game, the Sky started the game with 57 points in the first half—the most points scored against the Lynx in a half this season and a season high for Chicago. Ariel Atkins led Chicago in scoring with 27 points, three rebounds and two steals. Reese scored 11 of her 19 points in the first quarter, and added 11 rebounds total. Kamilla Cardoso recorded a double-double, notching 17 points with a career-high 15 rebounds.
Napheesa Collier, the Lynx’s leading scorer and 2025 All-Star Captain, led the team with 26 points, eight rebounds and five assists. On July 14, she led the Lynx with 29 points.
Next, the Sky will stay home to play the Atlanta Dream for the third time this season on Wed., July 16.
