On July 26 Howard Brown Health and Replay in Lake View, 3439 N. Halsted St., presented the first Annual Tooth Fairy Sprint benefitting the Harrison Mackler Dental Center at Howard Brown Health on Sheridan.
Dreamed up by Dr. Mackler, the event welcomed participants (many with magic wands and most wearing fairy wings and glitter) and supporters for a one-mile run around Cornelia Street, Halsted Street and Roscoe Avenue with a goal of raising $10,000. The financial goal was matched by Endeavor Health.
Newly-installed Howard Brown CEO Travis Gayles and Howard Brown’s Head of Dentistry Dr. Teo Limosnero briefly spoke and welcomed everyone while a gushing Mackler, resplendent in armor (he joked, “I’m a metal implant.”) noted that the event was a dream come true. Nita Bevvy served as host for the event.
