The Queer Expression Film Fest, presented by Open Space Arts, announced the eight short films and two feature-length films selected as the QE Best of the Fest.
These works of LGBTQ+ cinema aim to spotlight bold storytelling and fresh perspectives from rising queer filmmakers across the United States, Canada, Spain and Mexico.
The selected features are Storytellers: An Oral History Anthology, directed by Eric Handel, which includes the testimonies of 13 unique queer voices; and the Nando Caballero-directed Eva i Bea, which spotlights a conversation between a film director and actress.

All selected short films are under 22 minutes long, offering intimate and imaginative glimpses into queer lives, dreams, relationships and resilience. The short films are all that’s left, Fantasy, Gogo, Long Gone, Man Cured, Pages in the Wind, Small Talk and XY.
Short films will stream Aug. 13-27; Eva i Bea will stream Aug. 20-Sept. 3; and Storytellers will stream Aug. 27-Sept. 10. Tickets are $12/program; people can stream globally at OpenSpaceArts.org.
