GenderCool, a national organization based in the Chicago area, welcomed its new executive director, Chase Glenn, to the city Sept. 24. He moved his family here from the south for safety. As a trans man, Glenn hopes to bring new organizing and advocacy ideas to this group that helps young people and their families.
More than 40 LGBTQ+ leaders and allies joined the welcome at The Goodman, hosted by Lewis Warrick, CFO of The Goodman and GenderCool board member.
GenderCool co-founders John and Jen Grosshandler, the north suburban parents of a trans young adult, were also there, continuing to show their support of the work.
GenderCool’s first gala is Nov. 12. Get your tickets here: https://gendercoolevents.org/.
