Despite the threat of thick rain clouds hanging overhead, the second installment of  Gender Fucked Productions’ Trans-iliance Festival went on without a hitch on Aug. 14.

The event, actually a three-day happening set to take place in three different public parks throughout Chicago, was canceled on the first day due to rain. The first installment was set in Eckhart Park at 1130 W. Chicago Ave. on Aug. 13, while the third was set for Hamilton Park at 513 W. 72nd St. on Aug. 15.

The Aug. 14 event took place in Gill Park at 825 N. Sheridan Rd and featured musical, dance, comedy and magic performances all focused on transgender experiences. The leisurely event also featured trans-owned or -focused wellness organizations, craft, and vendors, as well as the ever-present Windy City Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to lend a hand.
