ALMA Chicago will recognize Dan Ingram and Jessica Carillo-Guerrero with its 2026 ALMA del Líder Awards during the organization’s fifth annual Community Reception.

The reception, scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Oct. 22 at Barcocina Lakeview, 2901 N. Sheffield Ave., will feature food, drinks, a live drag performance and recognition of community leaders. The event also celebrates 37 years of ALMA Chicago’s advocacy for queer Latino communities. Tickets cost $35 and are available now.
Ingram, senior manager of loyalty airline partnerships at United Airlines, helped establish Professionals Do Pride, an annual fundraiser benefiting Chicago-area LGBTQ+ nonprofits, 12 years ago. This year’s event drew more than 600 attendees from more than 70 companies and organizations, raising more than $41,000 for ALMA Chicago.

Carillo-Guerrero, a licensed clinical professional counselor and founder of Soluna Wellness Center, has spent more than two decades expanding culturally responsive mental health care and creating affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ Latino communities. She helped establish United Latino Pride in 2006 and founded Soluna Wellness Center in 2023.

“Dan and Jessica demonstrate the power of bringing people together with purpose,” ALMA Chicago Executive Director Manuel Hernández-Nunez said in a statement. “Through fundraising, community organizing and affirming care, they have created opportunities for people to connect, find support and invest in one another.”
