Chicago Games, Inc., the local host organization of the 2006 Gay Games VII Sports and Cultural Festival, will host a town hall meeting Friday, Feb. 3 at Broadway United Methodist Church, 3344 N. Broadway from to 6-8 p.m. This meeting is one in a series that have taken place previously downtown and on the city’s South Side.
The meeting will feature a presentation by the Gay Games Chicago staff and board of directors; there will then be opportunities for members of the community to ask questions and provide feedback. Topics will include status of logistical and financial preparations; volunteering; a synopsis of the business sponsorship and donors program; and details on how to register as an athlete or artist. The members of the International Federation of Gay Games will also be present as part of a site visit being conducted Feb. 2-5. There is no charge to attend and no RSVP is required.
