RainbowVision Santa Fe has been named Wells Fargo LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) Business of the Year by the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). The award was given in Washington, D.C. at the National Dinner: An Evening of Courage on Friday November 6th, 2009. Attending the dinner were members of Congress, representatives of President Obama’s administration and NGLCC members representing a cross section of American businesses from small entrepreneurs to major multinational corporations.
RainbowVision Properties Inc. is a family of companies dedicated to developing and operating communities to serve a growing LGBTQI and Allied population in their “second fifty years”. RainbowVision Santa Fe offers a blend of services from dining, fitness center, spa, salon lounge and cabaret; all surrounding 146 residences of rentals, condominiums and six levels of assisted living care. Silver also is one of the founders of the Emerald City Foundation, serves as a board member for the GLBT Historical Society in San Francisco, chairs the LGBT Health Issues Committee for Equality New Mexico and is currently a member of the LGAIN (Lesbian Gay Aging Issues Network) Leadership Council at the American Society for Aging. This year, she has received the Vincent R. Johnson, Albuquerque. NM Model of Hope Award and was named one of the 18 Red Hot Lesbian Entrepreneurs of the Year (2009) by GO Magazine.
