Renee Neuner, 21, worked as a medical advocate for Chicago’s Rape Victim Advocates, where she interned in children’s advocacy. In addition, she received a 2004 Metcalf Fellowship from the University of Chicago to work for the Global Fund for Women, an international women’s rights organization in San Francisco. Renee received a 2005 Human Rights award from the University of Chicago to travel to Lima, Peru to work for La Asociacion Grupo de Trabajo Redes, an organization that supports rights for domestic workers. In a nod to her artistic side, she recently had her photography displayed at the University of Chicago’s Franke Institute.
