Howard Brown Health Center has announced that it has partnered with Prologue Alternative High School to establish a General Educational Development (GED) training and testing center at the Broadway Youth Center, 3179 N. Broadway, that will specifically target LGBT youth and their allies. Federal funds support 43 percent, or $64,800, of the $150,000 contract.
This program has been specifically developed to provide small classes in a safe environment for LGBT youth. Participants will prepare for the GED exam through weekly classes and one-on-one support.
