The artistic communities of quilters and beaders will come together for the first time in this exciting festival of creativity. The International Quilt Festival honors the rich heritage of quiltmaking and Embellishment® is one of America’s favorite venue for collectors, artists and lovers of beads, buttons, glass, jewelry and polymer clay.
Special exhibits will include international quilt contest winners, both contemporary and traditional; selected quilts from the historic 1933 Chicago World’s Fair; Log Cabin quilts; art quilts; journal quilts; and African portrait quilts. The jam-packed venue also offers a quilting bee, a learn-to-quilt booth, quilt conservation and quilting for kids. Vendors will offer everything from one-of-a-kind art to the raw materials, books and tools needed to create your own masterpiece. Special exhibits, classes, demonstrations and lectures are part of the agenda, as well.
