Chicago NOW hosted their Women Who Dared Awards Sept. 26 at Salvatore’s. Honorees were: Author Sara Paretsky: Excellence in Media Award; Ann Christopherson and Linda Bubon (Owners of Women and Children First Bookstore) : Women of Honor Award (named after Bella Abzug) ; Jennifer Welch, executive director of the Battered Women’s Network: Activist of the Year.
