The evening of July 5 saw people of all body shapes and sizes, backgrounds, and gender identities gather for one of the newest dance parties in Chicago: Belly Up at Jackhammer, 6406 N. Clark St. Dancers took turns sharing the stage, carrying trays of free shots to patrons between their numbers.
Every bar counter also had bowls of sweet treats and trays of cookies for all the hungry bears in attendance.
The party takes place the first Saturday of every month from 9 p.m.-5 a.m.
