The sixth annual Other Dance Festival opens Sept. 6 for a three-weekend run at the Hamlin Park Fieldhouse Theatre, 3035 N. Hoyne. The festival, presented by the Chicago Moving Company, was founded in 2002 by co-curators/producers Kay LaSota and Elizabeth Lentz. What started as a two-weekend event has now blossomed to three to accommodate the variety of artists wishing to be involved and the audiences (which usually fill the house) who are hungry to see the modern dance community’s latest creations. Performances are Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30, Sept. 6-7, 13-14 and 20-21, with a different line-up each week.
