Actor Patrick Swayze died Sept. 14 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer, Fox2Now.com reported. He was 57.
Swayze was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in 2008; the disease spread to his liver.
The actor is best known for the movies Ghost and Dirty Dancing, and he received Golden Globe nods for both. According to IMDB.com, he was most recently on the TV series The Beast. Swayze was also in many other movies, such as Donnie Darko and To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar, in which he played cross-dresser Vida.
Swayze is survived by Lisa Niemi, his wife of 34 years.
