Typically, I use this column space to regale you, gentle readers, with tales of daring do (and daring don’t, on occasion) from our local queer bar scene. Accompanied with photographs, a story unfolds and we all get to share a laugh, a tear and perhaps, if we listen to that still voice in our heads, we learn a little something.

Well this week is a bit different. I present to you these two random items, found in bars this past week. I have no interpretation. There is no unifying theme stitching these images together into a quilt you can use to keep your mind warm. I challenge you to make your own sense of it all. And shoot me an email, so that I might share with your fellow readers the feelings elicited by the images below. Please join in on this bold social experiment. Your responses will appear in a future column.
