The 2004 Chicago House World Tour Gala took flight again at the Hotel InterContinental with 450 charitable Chicagoans flying on a Latin journey through ‘Rumba, Samba, Salsa.’ The black tie raised more than $120,000 to benefit Chicago House’s AIDS Housing and Supportive Services. Early birds arrived to an exclusive VIP Reception and Awards Presentation where co-chairs Roxanne Saylor, Coco Soodek, Brad Lippitz and Jon Pizer helped honor community supporters such as WFLD-TV, Kraft Foods, and Chicago House Trustee/Silent Auction Chair Edwards Buice. Latin dancers moving to the exotic beats of Casolando greeted guests on the 7th floor for the Silent Auction and main portion of the party, where tropical drinks and Latin inspired cuisine a plenty were served. Addressing the guests, Chicago House CEO Stan Sloan explained, ‘What the World Tour represents to us is much like the conception that Chicago House’s founders had in mind 20 years ago. A fresh start. A new chance at life. A journey into hope, that perhaps would not have been possible otherwise.’
