The Chicago Tribune reports that some Naperville students and parents are renewing their effort to include sexual orientation in Naperville School District 203’s anti-discrimination policy.

In May, Bea Menendez, a student at Naperville North, and supporters, approached the board on the issue of including sexual orientation. The board president said the proposal would be reviewed by the Policy Committee; to date this has not happened. The group then sent a package of information to the board, including news stories about lawsuits against school districts unwilling to move against homophobia.
