Sometimes life is just one long drag show, and Jackhammer recently had a binge of sequins and feathers.

Gina and the Gyna Girls celebrated their 1st anniversary there to a packed crowd of fans, including Madame Rhodesia from the Annex 3, who sat at the bar knocking back cocktails and delivering one-liners like bullets from a high-powered rifle. That girl can drink.

A couple of days later Stella Productions hit the stage with her professional team of dragsters. Apparently, testicle difficulties in the dj booth caused much drama in the dressing room, and the unexpected onstage performance of a queen from the suburbs also caused some trouble. I hear the aforementioned queen ended up at Escapades with her entourage.

As if that wasn’t enough drama, some queens have to learn that you don’t get on stage when there’s a drag queen performing. Some people need to go to Gay School before they’re let loose in the bars.

My friends at Rodeo Riders Chicago invited me up to Touché for the Wet Jockey Shorts contest; like I need an excuse to go to Touché. What a fun bunch of guys.

Different Strokes may be closed but Frankie Da Kat is alive and well and causing chaos all over town. I went out with him to Paula & Foozie’s Bingo at Rehab and then Lauren & Frida’s Bingo at Charlie’s—except Frida wasn’t there. Where was she?

Also dropped into Madrigals to see Creagh. There’s plenty happening at the bars on Mondays.

We’ve been bumping into Barbie around town a lot lately, and she always complains that we cut the legs off in the photos we take of her. So look inside for graysong’s solution to the problem.

About four years ago Barbie beat Phil Lasheo in a Channel 19 Transgendered Pageant … honest to God!! I don’t think any of the contestants were actually ‘transgendered.’ Faustina was the host of the show … remember that night, darling? You were talking about Dolly Parton’s wig catalog with the vampire’s mother ….

Whatever happened to the Feast of Fools?
