Carson Kressley, the fashion expert from the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy hit TV show, was at Marshall Field’s State Street store Oct. 4 filming a TV commercial for Field’s 13-Hour Holiday Sale. For approximately 30 minutes Carson was hoisted up 17-1/2 feet above the sidewalk on a green cherry picker and playing with the hands of Marshall Field’s Great Clock on the corner of Randolph and State Street. The Fab 5 reportedly have gotten raises for their second year; this year they got $3,000 an episode, next year it is between $6-$10,000. The five-some also just guested on NBC’s Good Morning, Miami show.

Alexandra Billings and Windy City Radio’s Amy Matheny are doing a music show together at Speakeasy in mid-November. And Alex has just gone off to LA to tape an episode this week of the hot new TV show Karen Sisko. She plays a vital character in the episode. Karen Sisko is based on the character of Jennifer Lopez in Out of Sight. It airs on Wednesdays on ABC.

American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken is not homophobic as he continues to answer questions about his own sexuality. On ABC’s Prime Time last week, he said he understands why people think he is gay, because of certain characteristics, but he says he is straight.

The cop show 10/8 featured the Latino cop kissing a woman who turns out to be a trans. While he is turned off, he doesn’t react horribly, and certainly doesn’t use violence, like happens so many times in Hollywood and in real life.—————————————-
