VOX martinis flowed last week at the W Hotel Lakeshore as more than 400 people (mostly gay men) gathered as VOX Vodka and OUT magazine honored architect and creative designer Jacques Verlinden in the 2003 VOX OUT Voices of Style + Design Awards. Verlinden, who was presented the award by friend David Wilshire of Cheetah Gym, is the architect behind the flagship Crate & Barrel stores across the country. As a strategist for C & B, as well as an architectural visionary for the company, Verlinden has created the seductive identity and environment that has become the standard in shopping for home furnishings. Also at the Altitude W Hotel party room was Nate Berkus, last year’s recipient and famed interior designer of the Oprah Winfrey Show. TOP: Berkus, Verlinden and Wilshire.
