In one of those ‘lightbulb moment’ court decisions, a New York judge ruled last week that NEITHER Rosie O’Donnell nor the publisher of her now-closed magazine are entitled to damages. The vicious trial ended after a week of testimony. ABC News and other media reported that Gruner + Jahr USA Publishing sued Rosie for breach of contract, and she countersued, claiming she was cut out of key decisions before the magazine folded.
Meanwhile, Rosie tried to focus the media’s attention on the opening last weekend of her new musical, Taboo, with music by Boy George. Some media loved it, others thought it was just ‘too much.’ They didn’t like Abba the musical much, either. But if you love the 1980s era and its music, you’re bound to be tapping along to this one.
Wynonna v. Wynonna
Country singer Wynonna Judd was arrested recently on drunk driving charges. Her quite humorous mug shot is available at the Web site thesmokinggun.com/archive/wynonnajudd1.html
