Daniel Delli Colli, 52, native of Crown Point, Ind., and a former longtime clerk at the Allerton Hotel in Chicago, died suddenly May 11 at his home in Chicago. He was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Ruth Delli Colli and just this January by his dearest friend Carlos Collazo-Diaz. A private scattering service will be held in Key West. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Howard Brown Health Center. Arrangements were by the Cremation Society of Illinois.
Donald J. Kingston, 83, longtime organist and musical librarian for Apostolic Church of God (63rd and Corchester), and a former funeral director, passed away May 18. He was beloved life partner of 45 years to Gilbert Dominguez. Dearest brother of Gordon (the late Hazel) Wightman of Soughton, Wis.; fond uncle of Judy (Joe) Walling to Stoughton; Pamela (Allen) Lee of Connecticut; and Nancy (Roger) Tacobucci of Colorado. Faithful companion to Ruby the Parrot. Services were private. Donations to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements were by the Cremation Society of Illinois.
Audrey Warren’s 25-year-old son Jeffrey Warren was shot and killed May 15 during a family trip to St. Louis, Mo. Jeffrey and his cousin were driving and asked a man for directions. The man asked for money and then shot Jeffrey. Audrey has been a long-time community activist and is the sister-in-law to former BLACKlines managing coordinator LaJaunessee Jordan. Audrey just lost her mother to a stroke a few months ago. Services were at Soka Gakkai Buddhist Temple.
