We celebrate genius in 2006 with Mozart’s 250th anniversary and the centenary of Samuel Beckett, the darkly existential Irish-Franco Nobel Prize playwright who gave us Waiting for Godot, Endgame, Krapp’s Last Tape and dozens of short plays and stories. The first tribute to Beckett’s genius is 100 Years of Beckett: No Danger of the Spiritual Thing, an evening of his one-act plays staged by Curious Theatre Branch, Prop Theatre and greasy joan & company (sic). After opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art, the multiple bill transfers this week to the Prop Theatre, 3502-3504 N. Elston; (773) 267-6660; $15 or pay what you can; through Feb. 5.
