The Milwaukee extravaganza known as PrideFest topped itself this year, setting an attendance records by having nearly 24,000 people witness the June 9-11 event.
The record is all the more remarkable because of the uncooperative weather. Despite occasional rain showers and unseasonably cold winds, attendance reports confirm 23,839 people entered the gates. These numbers, as verified by Milwaukee World Festivals, represent a 10-percent increase over last year’s previous record. Milwaukee World Festivals leases the Summerfest grounds to Milwaukee’s ethnic and cultural festivals, including PrideFest.
