Philip C. Hoffmann, a professor emeritus of pharmacology at the University of Chicago, died on July 21 at the age of 70.
He leaves behind Chris Lonn, his cherished partner of 34 years; and brother Bob (Sally) Hoffmann of Bethesda, Md; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was also the brother of the late Richard (Joy) Hoffmann of Arlington, Va.
A memorial service pending. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to any charity.
