James D. Grassi, vice president and deputy director of compliance of Nuveen Investments, LLC, and a former senior attorney with the legal department of The Northern Trust Corporation, passed away on Aug. 9. He was 50.
Among those who survive Grassi are his best friend and partner, Derek Tait; sister Evelyn ‘Doodle’ (Monty) White; brother Tony (Sally); the late brother Gene Grassi; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was on Aug. 13 at the John E. Maloney Funeral Home, 1359 W. Devon Avenue. A private interment was held on Aug. 14. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Howard Brown Health Center Youth Programs, 4025 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL 60613.
