More than 200 attendees crowded the nightspot Hydrate, 3458 N. Halsted, on Nov. 4 for the third installment of Lipstick & Lyrics, a live singing drag cabaret to benefit The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC).
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by Hydrate and Absolut were featured during the early part of the event, and an hour-long performance by 14 different chorus members topped off the evening. The event raised $4,500 for the 150-member CGMC, now celebrating its 25th-anniversary season.
