Barenaked Lads Save Christmas, Bailiwick Rep, through Jan. 7. There’s a naked-fight choreographer, so the skit about Barbra Streisand and Mel Gibson hosting a TV show has gotta get physical. But there’s also DanceWright Heidi Malner’s lovely Shepherd’s adagio. MSB
The Christmas Schooner, Bailiwick, through Dec. 31. This holiday favorite has grown over the 12 years since its premiere and now is already striking out to seek its fortune in the bigger world. Take advantage of this last chance to see the intimate original. MSB
Fat Pig, Profiles Theatre, now through Feb. 25. There’s now a big extension for this hit staging of Neil LaBute’s taught play, in which friends sabotage the love of a good-looking guy for a plus-sized woman. Often accused of misogyny, LaBute this time says men are jerks. JA
Mamma Mia!, Cadillac Palace Theatre, through Dec. 31. This best of the jukebox musicals succeeds by not taking itself seriously, nearly forgetting it has a plot and having a good time in the Greek Isles with lots of boys on display. Great songs by Abba, too. JA
