The foreUS Women’s Golf Tour has officially kicked off—and what makes it so special is that it is aimed at the lesbian community.
The tour—which welcomes all, despite its target demographic—will host a series of golf tournaments and other events throughout the year, culminating with a national championship in Las Vegas. The events are for golfers of all skill levels, so one does not need to play like Annika Sorenstam to compete.
There will be three tournaments in 2007, six in 2008 and eight in 2009. The inaugural competition will be held March 25-26 at the Doral Desert Princess Golf Resort in Palm Springs, Calif. That will be followed by a tournament on Aug. 11-12 in San Francisco and the national championship in Las Vegas on Oct. 20-21.
