Jack E. Shank, a longtime Lakeview resident and former part-time Acapulco resident who was a retired federal government employee and who loved entertaining at home, passed away after a valiant two-year battle with lung cancer. He was 74.
He is survived by his beloved life partner of 27 years, Paul J. Satera.
Shank was the dearest father of Kellie (Kevin) Mueller of Maryland and Kevin Shank of Missouri. He was also the grandfather of Jonathan Shank, and Jeff and Mark Mohn. In addition, Shank was the brother of Ken (Sharon), Ronald (Patricia) and Bill (Joyce) Shank; Linda (the late Sam) Pollack; and the late Stanley (Sharon) Shank. He was also the uncle, cousin and friend of many.
A springtime celebration of his life is being planned.
