Actors Workshop Theatre (AWT), 1044 W. Bryn Mawr, has announced that the Jeff-recommended Equus by Peter Shaffer—originally scheduled to close April 22—has been extended through May 13, and may run beyond the new date.
Peter Shaffer’s unique modern thriller explores the boundaries of passion versus normalcy in the cozy intimacy of AWT’s 40-seat storefront space, placing the audience inches from the action. Essentially, the play, rooted in both modern psychology and ancient ritual, dissects the everlasting human need of worship.
Tickets are $20-$25. Call 773-728-7529 or e-mail reserve@actorsworkshop.org.
