Chicago Opera Theater (COT) will conclude its 2007 spring season with Hector Berlioz’s Béatrice et Bénédict, starring singers Sandra Piques Eddy and Joseph Kaiser. Béatrice et Bénédict opens May 23 and runs for five performances through June 2 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, 205 E. Randolph.
Béatrice et Bénédict is based on Shakespeare’s romantic comedy Much Ado About Nothing. The opera is a love story about a stubborn would-be couple tricked by friends into realizing their true feelings for each other.
Individual tickets to Béatrice et Bénédict are $35-$120, with a 50 percent discounted student rate in most sections. See www.ChicagoOperaTheater.org or call 312-704-8414.
