On May 21, guests of the League of Chicago Theatres’ ‘Showtime 2007’ gala will dine on-stage at the Auditorium Theatre, 50 E. Congress, and be entertained by the stars of The Color Purple and Wicked as they perform at an exclusive tribute to Broadway in Chicago and The Chicago Community Trust.
The champagne will start flowing in the Auditorium’s lobby at 5:30 p.m. to kickoff the gala. Guests will be able to mingle with the Chicago theater community and try their luck in an interactive raffle featuring cast members of Bingo: The Musical, Late Night Catechism and Tony & Tina’s Wedding.
Tickets are $300 each, and cocktail attire at the event is suggested. Call 312-554-9800 or see www.chicagoplays.com.
