Jam Productions, which owns several music and theater venues such as the Riviera, Vic and Park West, now owns the Uptown Theater, a result of a recent court-ordered auction.
Over the years, Uptown Theater, located at 4816 N. Broadway near popular gay sports bar Crew, was home to a number of gay-related events.
Jam Productions will need to take care of about $40 million in renovations to the theater before it can re-open.
