The 2009 Deaf Illinois Awards will be held Saturday, April 18, at the Park West, 322 W. Armitage. The reception will start at 6:30 p.m.; the awards ceremony starts at 8 p.m.
Scheduled performers include the National Theatre of the Deaf, professional dancers and even a deaf Elvis.
