Windy City Performing Arts has chosen Stephen C. Edwards as artistic director of Windy City Gay Chorus and Aria: Windy City Women’s Ensemble, according to a press release.
In addition to leading the choral ensembles of Windy City Performing Arts, he is currently the director of music and worship at Community United Methodist Church, where he conducts three choirs. Edwards also serves as the associate director of With One Voice, a new chorus that partners with charitable organizations to bring awareness and support to their causes.
Edwards’ debut will take place at Windy City Performing Arts’ spring concert, “It Might As Well Be Spring!,” Saturday, March 20, at 5 and 8 p.m. in the Hoover-Leppen Theatre at the Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted. Tickets are $20; visit www.windycitysings.org.
