As You Like It, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, through March 6. What could be more romantic, after all, than cross-dressing lovers in regency garb gamboling in a countryside of immaculate forests and courtly shepherds? MSB

Cats, Theo Ubique at No Exit Cafe, through Feb. 20. Oooh, I taw a puddy tat—the furry felines dancing on little cat feet all but curl up in our laps, but where else in this tiny room can playgoers see every whisker-twitch and hear every fragile meow of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s popular musical score? MSB

Funk It Up About Nothin’, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, through Feb. 13. Chicago’s own Q Bros have taken their rap version of Much Ado About Nothing to New York and Scotland and now it’s back where it started, prior to an Australian tour. Fast and fun. JA

Grey Gardens, Jedlicka Performing Arts Center in Cicero, through Jan. 29. The production values may not be entirely up to snuff, but Jedlicka offers a rare chance to catch this smart 2006 Broadway musical adaptation of the 1975 gay cult favorite documentary about the eccentric relatives of former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
