The Peninsula Chicago held a black-tie gala for more than 1,000 invited guests June 1, in honor of the hotel’s 10th anniversary. The Hon. Sir Michael Kadoorie, chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited, and The Peninsula Chicago’s General Manager and Regional Vice President, Maria Razumich-Zec, co-hosted the event.
The theme of the celebration was “Peninsula Past, Present and Future,” as the hotel was transformed to pay tribute to the various Peninsula hotels in Asia, United States and the upcoming property set to debut in Paris in 2013. Bill Kurtis, a Chicago broadcast icon and current news anchor on WBBM-TV, served as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies. Photos by Dan Rest and James Atkins
