Due to the incident involving the Amtrak California Zephyr in Nevada on Friday, Amtrak is unable to participate in the Chicago Gay Pride Parade.
It is the policy of the company when serious incidents occur that promotional activities are temporarily suspended and resources are channeled to assisting passengers and colleagues.
We regret that we will not be a participant in the 2011 Chicago Gay Parade Pride. We offer our deepest condolences and comfort to the friends and families of those affected by the incident and to the emergency responders.
