“Don’t Forget the T!: A Panel Discussion on Transgender Issues in the Chicago Area” will take place Sunday, Oct. 23, at Gerber/Hart Library and Archives, 1127 W. Granville Ave., at 4 p.m.
Panelists will include Jennifer Carr and KOKUMO. Carr is a writer, blogger, public speaker, and advocate for transgender and all gender-diverse individuals. KOKUMO is a local activist and performer whose company, T.G.I.F. (Trans, Gender Non-Conforming, and Intersex Freedom), uses multimedia art to raise awareness about TGI experiences of people of color.
