Longtime LGBT activist Rick Garcia is recovering after suffering a stroke in Miami, FL where he was vacationing with his partner Ernie Hunsperger.
Garcia suffered a ministroke, he said, while driving in Miami. He was safely taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated over the weekend.
“Right now, they can’t find any negative residual effects of the stroke,” Garcia reported. “I am healthy as a horse.”
Garcia said he has never suffered serious health problems prior to the stroke.
Garcia was released from the hospital on Tuesday, and remains in Miami recovering. “I’ll be back in business before long,” he said.
